1. Introduction
Cloud School provides high‑quality online education for students aged 9 to 15. This Admissions Policy outlines our admissions criteria, procedures, safeguarding approach, and payment requirements.
2. Admissions Principles
Cloud School is committed to:
- Fair and transparent admissions
- Compliance with UK law (Education Act 1996, Equality Act 2010, UK GDPR)
- Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children
- Supporting students with additional needs
- Equal access regardless of background
3. Age Eligibility
Students must be:
- Minimum age: 9
- Maximum age: 15
Students under 13 require parental/guardian consent for admission and participation.
4. Parental/Guardian Responsibility
Parents/guardians must:
- Submit the application on behalf of the student
- Provide accurate personal and emergency contact details
- Agree to all policies (Terms, Privacy, Safeguarding, Behaviour)
- Pay the deposit and fees within the required timeframes
- Support the student in meeting attendance and conduct expectations
5. Application Process
Step 1: Online Application
Completed by a parent/guardian.
Step 2: Review
We assess eligibility, course suitability, and any additional needs.
Step 3: Additional Information (if needed)
We may request:
- Proof of age
- SEND information
- A placement task
Step 4: Offer of Admission
Parents receive:
- Acceptance email
- Information pack
- Payment instructions
5. Payment Requirements
5.1 Deposit (Applied Toward First Term Fees)
Upon acceptance, parents/guardians must pay a £500 deposit within 30 days to secure the student’s place.
- This deposit is not an additional charge
- The £500 is deducted from the first term’s tuition fee
- The deposit is fully refundable if the parent withdraws the child before the first term begins
- Failure to pay within 30 days may result in the place being offered to another student
5.2 Term Fees
All term fees must be paid:
- In full
- No later than 2 weeks before the start of each term
A student will only be granted access to classes and materials once fees have been received.
5.3 Continuing Enrollment
Cloud School operates on an assumed continuation model:
- Students are automatically enrolled for each subsequent term
- Parents/guardians must give written notice if they do not wish to continue into the next term
- Notice must be sent to: admissions@cloudschool.world
- Notice must be received at least 4 weeks before the new term begins, unless otherwise specified in the school’s Fees & Refunds Policy
Failure to provide notice may result in fees for the next term still being due.
Step 6: Enrolment Completion
Enrolment is confirmed once:
- Deposit is paid
- Term fees are paid on time
- Policies are accepted
- Access credentials are issued
6. Student Support & SEND Provision
We welcome students with a range of additional needs and aim to provide:
- Reasonable adjustments
- Alternative materials where possible
- Additional communication with parents
Early disclosure is encouraged so we can put support in place.
7. Safeguarding & Online Safety
As a provider for children, Cloud School follows strict safeguarding procedures:
- All staff are background‑checked
- Interactions follow safe‑communication guidelines
- Concerns are escalated in line with safeguarding protocols
- Parents may request information about their child’s online activity
8. Refusal of Admission
Admission may be refused if:
- Information is false or incomplete
- Parental consent is not provided
- The student’s needs exceed what we can reasonably support
- Behaviour would pose risk to the community
- Payment deadlines are not met
A written explanation can be provided upon request.
9. Appeals
Parents may appeal admissions decisions within 14 days by contacting:
